Fibromyalgia vs. Computer Cleaning. Dorothy - Recovery from Fibromyalgia with Plant-based Diet.

Fibromyalgia (FM or FMS) is characterised by chronic widespread pain and allodynia (a heightened and painful response to pressure). Fibromyalgia symptoms are not restricted to pain, leading to the use of the alternative term fibromyalgia syndrome for the condition. Other symptoms include debilitating fatigue, sleep disturbance, and joint stiffness. Some people  also report difficulty with swallowing, bowel and bladder abnormalities, numbness and tingling, and cognitive dysfunction.  Fibromyalgia is frequently associated with psychiatric conditions such as depression and anxiety and stress-related disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder. Not all people with fibromyalgia experience all associated symptoms.

Fibromyalgia has an easy fix that is often overlooked.

After thorough research I found that Dr. John McDougall succeeded with taming Fibromyalgia through a plant based diet. His patients displayed nothing short of a miracle.  For most of them, after several years of suffering, recovery took only few weeks.

In our Wholesome Cooking program we provide resources for people with chronic disorders, where they learn, eat and enjoy newly-acquired health with very delicious and nutritious medicine.

One such client, Dorothy, came to my cooking class. She already knew that dairy, soy and gluten-containing food caused her system to clog with excessive mucus. She suffered from mental fog, and physical weakness, as well as painful spots all over her body - all symptoms typical to Fibromyalgia patients.  She was devoid of energy, and could not continue to work as a real estate agent. She told me that it all started from a nervous breakdown resulting in a bout of painful shingles. Her body began malfunctioning, possibly due to a toxic mold, which was found in her new dwelling.

The more I listened to her story, the more it resembled one particular case with my broken computer. One day my computer reported multiple viruses, conflicting error messages and died in front of me. Instead of panicking, I decided to stay rational. After a brief examination I found a dirt- restricted fan, causing computer to overheat. Overheating was a symptom – or the information - linking me to a real problem. So, as a good, inquisitive Mom, I cleaned the fan, I power-dusted the keyboard, and, voila: it came back to life - no viruses, no problems.

Once again: the symptoms revealed the real cause.
As Dr. John McDougall has mentioned, Fibromyalgia is caused at least in part by an unhealthy diet. By now there is extensive scientific data depicting effectiveness of a plant based diet on fibromyalgia recovery. The speed of recovery with such internal cleansing is as fast, as cleaning my computer fan from the dust. Ingestion of processed, fatty and heavily preserved food takes up tremendous amount of energy, resulting in fatigue, one of the most common symptoms of Fibromyalgia. Our “internal doctor”- immune system uses the same energy sources, and now, it is depleted. So, with such food we become unprotected against diseases. Clean food frees such energy for our protection.

Food that contains gluten, casein and soy are some of such compromising elements.

In our Chef Color Raw classes, we learn healthy and delicious alternatives, learn how to make new food into palatable, free from harmful side effects, our medicine. Our students learn the science of nutrition, and cooking at the same time. Eating healthy foods fortify instant healing on a cellular level.

Although it is too primitive to compare our magnificent body to a man-made computer, one can visualize the comparison. Clean your internal dust and your body will help you recover from Fibromyalgia.  Dorothy and many others enjoyed the process and reclaimed their health.

Irina’s Version of a Caterpillar Transforming into a Butterfly

On a typical Spring afternoon, a caterpillar waited to become a butterfly. With all kinds of exercises and dieting she grew more and more disappointed with the results.  The young and brave caterpillar never stopped dreaming. She wanted to be lighter, wanted to fly, and she wanted to be happy about how she looks.

Her quest for finding beauty was shattered when ugly red spots covered her pretty face. Several doctors attempted to help her but could not find any solutions. Through trial and error, she learned that her own body is able to heal itself. She learned that choosing the right foods, fasting and cleansing will awaken the doctor within.  Her face cleared, her body slimmed and she transformed into a beautiful butterfly.

She put on her best, most festive wings, and celebrated her triumph. She flew high in the sky and caught the eye of her friends. Her many caterpillar-friends wanted to live her fairy tale, and sought her advice. They looked up to this little butterfly as their mentor for success. Our little butterfly got married and landed far away, in the USA.

She stayed true to herself, and as butterflies do, she became a big fan of fruits and veggies. Occasionally she went on the nectar fasting called juicing. She wanted to fly, to enjoy her light body, her vibrant energy and strong health. She found flying was her thing, and she vowed to herself to stay up in the air for the rest of her life.  She aspired to help others achieve their own health and dreams.

Five years ago she met with enthusiasm another health challenge.  She found herself battling eczema that stood in the way of her success in both business and her personal life.  Doctors attempted many therapies to no avail.    The little butterfly strongly persisted to find a cure. Through her culinary creativity she provided her own prescription that she wrote in the language of Raw Food- the best medicine for butterflies. Pretty and fragrant dishes fought disease and helped her to gain even brighter colors and overcome her eczema. It made her a stronger believer in the path that she chose.

Our little butterfly knew that her real calling is teaching people (kids and adults) how to be their own doctors, how to use Raw and Vegan foods as delicious medicine. She opened a new program “Chef Color Raw” (Wholesome Cooking Classes) , where kids and adults wear Chef Hats and make delicious and nutritious dishes, where they learn plant-based culinary medicine. She became a creative and confident leader in Health.

Help this little brave and persistent butterfly to spread her pretty wings over many of her students, to empower them, to teach them life-long skills, to allow them to become their own doctors in the kitchen, so they too become “Chef’s Color Raw”.
